A Formação do Professor de Biologia na UFSC e o Ensino da Evolução Biológica

Discutem-se aspectos da formação inicial e da prática docente que influenciam o ensino de um tema central e unificador – Evolução Biológica – entre professores egressos do curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas da Universidade Federalde Santa Catarina. Foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas com licenciados, que apontaram, entre outros problemas, dificuldades na condução da disciplina
curricular de Evolução e uma generalizada falta de integração entre as disciplinas biológicas e as de conteúdo pedagógico. Sinaliza-se a necessidade de rever as estruturas curriculares das Licenciaturas, com vistas a superar a influência da racionalidade técnica e de modelos historicamente consagrados, como o “esquema 3+1”.
