Abstract

This article is part of a doctoral research developed in the Postgraduate Program in Geography of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and is designed as an approximation of the teaching of Geography with the Genetic Epistemology of Jean Piaget. For this, we worked with a group of children from a public school in Rio Grande do Sul, located in the municipality of Canoas, metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. The group is formed by students of the 8th year of elementary school in which it was sought to work the reversibility and decentration of thought from the use of the map as a tool to understand the potentialities of thinking of these subjects.

Leonardo Pinto dos Santos, SEDUC/RS

Técnico em Geoprocessamento pelo Colégio Politécnico (2013) e Graduado em Geografia Licenciatura Plena pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2013). Foi bolsista do Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência no subprojeto Geografia da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria 2011-2013. Especialização em Mídias na Educação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2018) e Mestre em Geografia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2015) com ênfase na linha de pesquisa Ensino de Geografia. Doutor em Geografia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2019). É integrante do Grupo de pesquisa Formação Continuada de Professores e do Grupo Autonarrativas e formação docente da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e do Grupo de Estudos Geografia, Trabalho e Ambiente da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Atualmente é professor de Geografia na Rede Estadual de Ensino do Rio Grande do Sul. Foi avaliador no PNLD 2017 Geografia Anos Finais, no PNLD 2018 Geografia Ensino Médio e no PNLD 2019 Projetos Integradores. Tem experiência na área de Geografia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Educação Geográfica, Ensino-Aprendizagem, Epistemologia Genética, Espaço Mentalmente Projetado, Autonarrativas e Formação Docente. Vinculado ao projeto de pesquisa Perfil do profissional docente que atua no componente curricular de Geografia nas escolas públicas da educação básica de Porto Alegre desenvolvido na UFRGS.

Eduardo Schiavone Cardoso, UFSM

Possui graduação em Geografia Licenciatura pela Universidade de São Paulo(1991), graduação em Geografia - Bacharelado pela Universidade de São Paulo(1989), mestrado em Geografia (Geografia Humana) pela Universidade de São Paulo(1996), doutorado em Geografia (Geografia Física) pela Universidade de São Paulo(2001) e pós-doutorado pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho(2010). Atualmente é professor titular da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Tem experiência na área de Geografia, com ênfase em Geografia Humana. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas:Pesca Artesanal, Pescadores, Natureza, Território.
