Este artigo tece algumas das relações entre o modo de produção capitalista, os modos de educar, o mundo do trabalho e as instituições escolares, demonstrando como a sociologia da educação, a partir de uma perspectiva crítica, de totalidade social, pode corroborar, mediativamente, para a construção da hegemonia da classe trabalhadora, a começar pelos seus filhos, criando as condições para que possam se organizar e mobilizar necessária e essencialmente para além das instituições de ensino.
