The aim of this study is to analyze the use of active teaching-learning methodologies in undergraduate nursing subjects and their impact on students’ performance and on the development of the Supervised Curricular Internship. The study was carried out from an integrative literature review, using the PICO technique as a basis for defining the composition of the theme and the guiding question. The sample is made of 36 papers, which demonstrate the use of active learning methodologies in many courses in Nursing undergraduate program. The analyzed studies indicate that the use of active teaching-learning methodologies contributes to the development of technical, cognitive and behavioral skills. However, it is necessary to expand the application of active methodologies at various stages of training, aiming to contribute to the acquisition and development of skills and competencies intrinsic to the necessary care processes for practical action.
