AS RELAÇÕES FAMILIARES DE USUÁRIOS DE ÁLCOOL: Uma Revisão Bibliográfica

O objetivo deste estudo é analisar artigos que abordam asrelações familiares de usuários de álcool. Como critérios de inclusão, elegeu-se artigos publicados na língua portuguesa no período de 2005 a 2010, disponíveis na integra, online, com abordagem à temática proposta. Constitui-se em uma revisão bibliográfica de artigos da área da saúde. Do total de 46 artigos, sete abordaram a temática proposta para sua análise. A análise dos dados seguiu a proposta de análise temática. O alcoolismo resulta de diversos fatores, incluindo problemas vivenciados no meio familiar, o que leva a desestruturação da família e dificuldades na convivência entre seus membros e a sociedade. Os familiares mencionam sobre os diferentes estágios vivenciados pelo alcoolista no período de tratamento apontando que, inicialmente, ocorre negação da doença, após a busca de tentativas de construção de mudanças e, na sequência, a compreensão que necessita de ajuda para que não ocorra a recaída. Concluí-se relação do alcoolista com sua família é na maioria das vezes conturbada, podendo levar a desestruturação da família. Para que ocorra a recuperação do alcoolista faz-se necessário, não só o tratamento individual, mas de sua família, enfatizando a importância da intervenção de uma equipe interdisciplinar.
