Abstract

Objective: to investigate the frequency of induced HPV lesions in women assisted by the Unified Health System, in the city of Caçador - SC, with alterations in Pap smears and their relationship with risk factors. Methods: the sample consisted of altered cervical-vaginal cytopathological exams in the municipality, between 08/01/2018 and 07/31/2019, associated with the analysis of the medical records. Results: most patients are over 20 years old, have children, use a hormonal contraceptive method, started sexual activity at 16.37 ± 2.64 years, were not immunized against HPV and do not use condoms. Related to the degree of injury, there is a significant number of patients over 30 years of age, with children, who use hormonal contraceptives and are smokers with NICII/III lesions or carcinoma in situ. Conclusion: the analyzed sample presents risk factors that favor the development of CC, showing the need for public policy.
