The Cultural Space in the Municipal Park Fazenda Lagoa do Nado in Belo Horizonte (MG): from popular participation to the appropriation of space

The city and its places are the stage of everyday life for the human being and its space is produced and reproduced constantly by social relations. The Fazenda Lagoa do Nado Municipal Park, located in Belo Horizonte / MG, has become a space of symbolic meanings that proposes to its users experiences of leisure and belonging resulting from a popular initiative. From this perspective, this article intends to analyze how the action of a social group allows multiple meanings in the cultural space subject to constant changes and resignification for your own development. The methodology consists of bibliographical and documentary research, besides participant observation in loco. It is concluded that the action of a social group engaged with the events around the Fazenda Lagoa do Nado Municipal Park directly affected the way this cultural space was produced and appropriated by the local population.
