Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility: an analysis between the theory and practice

This research aimed to analyze the light of Corporate Social Responsibility theories (CSR) and Sustainable Development (SD) if CSR actions reported by industries of Blumenau, Santa Catarina, meet the theoretical principles of Sustainable Development. As crop became the industries with more than 500 employees, listed in the Guide Fiesc / 2015 with units in the city of Blumenau / SC. The methodology used was based on the literature to understand the concepts and theoretical assumptions and exploratory research to support the pursuit of information about CSR practices published on the websites of the companies analyzed. From the analysis and connections made between literature and research of shares issued by companies in their web pages it is clear that most industries Blumenau subtly disclose its socio-environmental information. Eleven companies surveyed, only three have more detailed information on such practices. The actions brought by companies, mostly are the compulsory nature, ie required by law. Given the above, it is concluded that the Blumenau industry has a long way to be followed in practice actions that bring effective results in favor of sustainable development.
