Introdução a uma Sociologia da Produtividade

Trata-se de promover uma apreciação das abordagens introdutórias da Sociologia, que conferem maior ênfase à distribuição imperfeita dos recursos do que aos fatores responsáveis pela produção destes. No contexto da Revolução Industrial identificamos as origens dessa abordagem, na demonstração de que o capitalismo industrial foi capaz de multiplicar a produtividade e deteriorar as condições sociais. Daí vem o compromisso da Sociologia em denunciar a desigualdade, gerando historicamente o discurso do Welfare State. Contudo, a materialização dos pressupostos distributivistas depende da produção, gerando a ambiguidade de uma ordem política que precisa, a um tempo, extrair do agente produtivo e não desestimular a produtividade. Assim, produtividade, inovação e empreendedorismo, aliados à educação, ciência e tecnologia tornam-se prioritários na agenda estatal, justificando o esforço sociológico na compreensão de fatores capazes de responder às necessidades produtivas da Sociedade e do próprio Estado de bem-estar.
