Contemporaneamente, a cultura tem sido considerada uma questão central nas políticas públicas, tendo em vista o seu reconhecimento para a promoção do desenvolvimento econômico. Na condição de um território expandido que agrega uma diversidade de agremiações carnavalescas consideradas de fundamental importância para o Carnaval de Pernambuco, a Bomba do Hemetério recebeu um programa de desenvolvimento local realizado a partir da articulação conjunta do poder público, da iniciativa privada e de instituições não governamentais. Com base na perspectiva teórica do Pós-Desenvolvimento, a presente pesquisa teve o objetivo de analisar que discursos caracterizam a cultura carnavalesca da Bomba do Hemetério como recurso de desenvolvimento local. Para tal, coletamos dados documentais sobre o programa em questão, que foram interpretados por meio da Análise de Discurso Foucaultiana. Os resultados apontam para como a cultura local é preservada por meio dos saberes que a embasa, ao tempo em que esta mesma cultura é entendida como uma fonte de sobrevivência para a comunidade local.Downloads
