Abstract

O presente artigo buscou identificar e analisar as políticas públicas que estão sendo desenvolvidas atualmente no Estado de Pernambuco – Brasil que visam fomentar o empreendedorismo. Para tanto, foi necessário realizar uma pesquisa documental nos quais foram analisados documentos oficiais, em especial o Plano Plurianual 2012-2015 do Governo do Estado de Pernambuco, tendo em vista a identificação das ações planejadas para o empreendedorismo. Em seguida foi realizada uma entrevista semiestruturada na Secretaria de Trabalho, Qualificação e Empreendedorismo, principal órgão de fomento ao empreendedorismo no Estado. Concluiu-se que importantes e inovadores passos estão sendo dados no sentido de fomentar o empreendedorismo no Estado, entretanto, a noção de empreendedorismo ainda precisa ser aprofundada pelo Governo e as ações governamentais devem aumentar a quantidade de beneficiários e ampliar sua difusão.
