DESENVOLVIMENTO E URBANIZAÇÃO: SENSO E CONTRASENSO DO DESENVOLVIMENTISMO

O presente texto propõe uma aproximação entre a sociologia do desenvolvimento e a sociologia urbana. Sendo as cidades o núcleo do desenvolvimento, pois são nelas, que surge a cultura característica do desenvolvimento do estado capitalista moderno – “cultura urbana”, nota-se a possibilidade da aproximação. Para tanto se realizou uma pesquisa bibliográfica, a partir da qual se estabeleceu um diálogo entre a teoria do desenvolvimentismo de Jacques Lambert e a contribuição teórica de alguns autores da sociologia urbana. O objetivo foi tanto perceber como as concepções da sociologia urbana aparecem na teoria de Lambert quanto comparar a discussão levantada por este autor sobre os obstáculos do desenvolvimento brasileiro, na década de 50 qual seja, o dualismo rural/urbano, com estudos recentes de autores que se dedicam à temática urbana no Brasil, como Luiz Cezar Q. Ribeiro, que também aponta a existência de um dualismo na sociedade brasileira.
