This paper aims to demonstrate the process of construction and reproduction of the multiple identities and sociabilities existing among the northeastern salaried workers who migrated to Ituiutaba, Minas Gerais, and among the local residents as well. The migration of these workers is sometimes pendular, sometimes definitive, motivated by the job offer in the sugar-energy complex, the main economic activity of the municipality. The first step of the methodology used for the research development is the literature review, stage that is able to provide us with references for the phenomenon understanding and also for the construction of theoretical reference which is articulated with the other steps of the study, such as the surveying of data from primary sources obtained through the execution of fieldwork and interviews, whose goal was to identify and give voice to the social subjects involved in the migrations. Thus, enabling to examine the relations of the migrants with the use of technologies, education, and work relations. It is underlined that the interviews as well as the subjects identification and the use of their speeches were authorized through consent form signature. As results, it was found the creation of new local denominations such as “tijucanos” and “alagoanos” which reflect the socio-spatial segregation between local residents and migrants.
