CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS E O PREPARO PARA O ÓBITO NO DOMICILIO: Relato de Experiência

Este relato aborda os cuidados paliativos e o preparo para o óbito no domicilio. Devido ao aumento da perspectiva de vida e os crescentes problemas sociais, principalmente aos relacionados às doenças crônicas, tem-se um olhar diferenciado para a prática de cuidados paliativos, buscando uma melhor qualidade de vida para doentes terminais.O Serviço de Internação Domiciliar do HUSM, busca a diminuição das reinternações e a humanização da assistência,
incluindo a família no processo do cuidado, com o objetivo de proporcionar atendimento integral aos doentes do serviço. Até dezembro de 2010 atendeu-se 715 doentes. Destes, 126 em fase terminal e tiveram óbito durante a internação. Do total de óbitos 75 ocorreram no domicilio e 51, no hospital. Observa-se que, mesmo trabalhando com os familiares questões relacionadas à finitude no domicilio, estes se mostram inseguros em relação aos cuidados com o doente, resistindo à ideia de deixá-los em casa, com a família.
