The present review aimed to identify the main attributions of the professional nurse on board during air medical transport and its assistance dynamics in the gestational process in removal. The methodological matrix was a qualitative exploratory descriptive study through a narrative review of the literature; the search for studies in national journals was carried out: SCIELO, LILACS, BIREME published between the years of 2013 and the first semester of 2018, the temporal cut is justified by the scarcity of literature on the proposed dimensions of this subject, so, in the last selection phase, the complete reading of all the manuscripts was carried out, and the final sample consisted of 16 scientific texts. The main results show the axes of the subject analyzed, the role of on-board nurse in the prehospital care during the aeromedical transport, the evaluation of the patient's conditions in the pregnancy process, with the assistance of protocols, besides the skill and the necessary training to the removal and intercurrences in flight. Therefore aeromedical transport is an activity in development in Brazil, and its theme must be deepened for its specific knowledge, corroborating the rapid interventions in the process of removal of patient and critical state of emergency.
