PERFIL DE ÓBITOS MATERNOS EVITÁVEIS EM MONTES CLAROS

Objetivou-se descrever a ocorrência dos óbitos maternos em Montes Claros-MG no período de 2008 a 2013, analisando o perfil de evitabilidade. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, de análise de tendência, baseado em dados secundários do Ministério da Saúde - MS e do Comitê de Mortalidade Materna - CMM de Montes Claros. Calcularam-se taxas de mortalidade materna para o período estudado, avaliando o quantitativo de dados segundo a evitabilidade e o tipo de óbito materno obstétrico, se direto ou indireto. Para os achados verificaram-se as possíveis correlações entre seus comportamentos e a série temporal por meio da regressão linear, assumindo-se um nível de significância de 5% (p<0,05). No período estudado, 91% dos óbitos maternos - OM no município foram classificados como provavelmente evitáveis, a taxa de Mortalidade Materna passou de 38,6 óbitos em 2008 para 86,6 óbitos por 100 mil nascidos vivos em 2013. Dos 23 óbitos Maternos levantados, 65% corresponderam a Mortes Obstétricas Diretas. Destaca-se a necessidade de melhoria dos serviços de saúde no pré-natal, assistência ao parto, e puerpério.
