COMPARAÇÃO DA CAPACIDADE FÍSICA E PRESENÇA DE DIABETES MELITTUS EM DOENTES RENAIS CRÔNICOS PRÉ-DIALITICOS

Objetivo: Comparar a capacidade física entre portadores de doença renal crônica (DRC) em acompanhamento pré dialítico, que possuem e que não possuem diabetes mellitus(DM).
Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo transversal, analítico, descritivo, onde foi avaliada a capacidade física e a presença de DM em 27 portadores de DRC. A pesquisa foi aprovada pelo CEP/UNIJUÍ (nº 0086/2009). Foi avaliado: perfil, peso, estatura, IMC, fatores de risco cardiovasculares, força muscular respiratória (FMR), capacidade funcional submáxima (TC6), resistência muscular localizada (RML).
Resultados: Participaram do estudo 27 indivíduos portadores de DRC. Dentre os principais fatores de risco avaliados o principal é a hipertensão arterial sistêmica, seguido de sedentarismo, idade acima de 60 anos e DM que representa 14(51,8%) dos indivíduos. Entre os que possuem (14) e não possuem (13) DM encontramos, respectivamente, 8 (57,14%) e 9 (69,23%) do gênero masculino, a média de idade é 60,29±17,46 e 63,92±16,01 (p=0,579), peso de 72,14±16,50 e 71,88±13,29 (p=0,964) kg, estatura de 1,62±0,09 e 1,62±0,09 (p=0,973) m, IMC de 27,34± 4,37 e 27,52±4,94 (p=0,918) kg/m2, classificando ambos os grupos como sobrepeso. Com relação a FMR apresentaram 81,21±38,87 e 69,23±24,28 (0,350), atingindo 80,01±30,06 e 72,62±26,45 (p=0,467) do % do previsto, no TC6 383,14±107,81 e 409,08±83,41 (p=0,493), atingindo 75,70±19,22 e 21,23±7,71 (p=0,206) do % do previsto, e a RML 16,57±3,76 e 21,23±7,71 (p=0,030*).
Conclusão: Houve diferença estatisticamente significativa somente no teste de sentar e levantar que avalia a RML dos membros inferiores, sendo maior nos que não possuem DM.
