SEGURANÇA NO AMBIENTE DE TRABALHO NA VOZ DE TRABALHADORES

A pesquisa apresenta o entendimento de trabalhadores que atuam em uma empresa metalmecânica da Região Noroeste do RS, acerca da segurança no ambiente de trabalho. É uma investigação qualitativa, descritiva, estudo de caso, com todos os trabalhadores que atuam na referida empresa. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados foram a entrevista aberta, com a questão norteadora: Fale-me, o que entendes por segurança no ambiente de trabalho? e a observação participante. Da análise dos depoimentos emergiu uma categoria: a segurança no trabalho na ótica de trabalhadores de uma empresa metalmecânica. Para os trabalhadores entrevistados, segurança no trabalho é fundamental e, nesse sentido, é importante que o trabalho ocorra em um ambiente livre de riscos, mas se presentes, faz-se necessário que empregadores forneçam Equipamentos de Proteção Individual adequados e que os trabalhadores recebam instrumentalização quanto ao uso adequado e correto dos mesmos, visando preservar a saúde e a integridade física. Assim, segurança no trabalho é responsabilidade tanto do empregador como do trabalhador.
