A VISÃO DE DOCENTES DE ÁREA DA SAÚDE SOBRE A PROBLEMÁTICA AMBIENTAL

Objetivo: conhecer a visão dos docentes da área da saúde sobre a problemática ambiental. Método: Estudo de abordagem qualitativa, sendo a pesquisa do tipo descritiva-exploratória. Os sujeitos foram docentes dos cursos da área da saúde de uma instituição pública de ensino superior do sul do Brasil. Os dados foram coletados em 2011, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e analisados com base no referencial proposto para análise de conteúdo. Resultados: Os docentes demonstraram certa preocupação quanto a real dimensão dos eventos ambientais catastróficos, tendo em vista os interesses econômicos que circundam a temática. Alguns sujeitos enfatizaram a existência de responsáveis pelo atual cenário de crise, que não eles próprios, demonstrando certa fuga da responsabilidade com o ambiente. Outros se colocaram como inclusos e co-responsáveis pelo estado ambiental local e global. Quanto às ações de preservação ambiental que realizavam, os depoentes as qualificaram como singelas, simplórias e, até mesmo, como as mínimas possíveis. Conclusões: Faz-se imprescindível que os docentes da área da saúde realizem reflexões e aproximações da temática ambiental com os conteúdos em que trabalham, pois assim podem influenciar positivamente na formação de profissionais mais conscientes, críticos e atuantes, frente ao estado ambiental atual.
