FEIRA DE PREVENÇÃO DA DOENÇA RENAL CRÔNICA: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA DE EDUCAÇÃO EM SAÚDE

A doença renal crônica é, sem dúvidas, um problema de saúde pública, principalmente, pela sua elevada taxa de morbidade e mortalidade. A educação em saúde à população em geral pode prevenir o seu desenvolvimento e progressão. Objetivou-se apresentar os resultados das atividades desenvolvidas por acadêmicos de Enfermagem durante uma feira de prevenção da doença renal. A realização da feira deu-se em um município do interior do Paraná. Foram desenvolvidas as seguintes atividades: cadastramento individual, aferição de pressão arterial, verificação de peso, altura e circunferência abdominal, anamnese e testes de urina tipo I e creatinina sérica. A educação em saúde foi realizada durante estas atividades, de acordo com as necessidades apresentadas por cada participante. Os sujeitos tiveram sua participação instituída de modo voluntário. O gênero feminino somou 61,9% da população atendida. Hipertensão e diabetes foram as comorbidades prevalentes. 43,2% dos participantes apresentaram hipertensão aferida no local. 28,37% estavam com sobrepeso e mais de 30% obesos. 4,44% apresentaram proteinúria e glucosúria e 4,10% nível de creatinina alterado. O público atendido na feira de prevenção da doença renal apresentou perfil bastante variado. A educação em saúde contribuiu para o esclarecimento de dúvidas da população e para a transmissão de conhecimento.
