REFLEXÕES ACERCA DO ENVELHECIMENTO, DAS DOENÇAS CRÔNICAS E DA QUALIDADE DE VIDA EM RENAIS CRÔNICOS

O envelhecimento da população brasileira é uma realidade e, nesse contexto, a prevalência das doenças crônicasnão transmissíveis, acompanhada de óbitos é, igualmente, maior nesse contingente populacional. O envelhecimentoestá associado a essas doenças, entre elas a Hipertensão Arterial (HAS), o Diabete Mellitus (DM), a InsuficiênciaRenal (IR), entre outras. Assim, conviver com uma ou mais dessas doenças exige do idoso, mudanças nos hábitos devida as quais repercutem no cotidiano, bem como na própria percepção referente a sua qualidade de vida (QV).Baseado em dados estatísticos populacionais e em publicações sobre a temática (revisão bibliográfica), busca-se,neste trabalho, refletir sobre o processo de envelhecimento, a Doença Renal Crônica Terminal-DRCT, mudanças noshábitos de vida e relações com a QV, resultantes da interação com pacientes renais crônicos, idosos, em tratamentohemodialítico, no decorrer da coleta de dados de uma pesquisa institucional.Downloads
