INTERVENÇÕES FISIOTERAPÊUTICAS NO IDOSO PORTADOR DE GOTA

Com o aumento da expectativa de vida, o processo de envelhecimento populacional vem ocorrendo num ritmo acelerado e, por consequência, ocorrem inúmeras alterações, que interferem na capacidade funcional e na qualidadede vida dos idosos. O indivíduo idoso com doença reumática apresenta alterações fisiológicas e anatômicas. A gotaé uma doença metabólica na qual ocorre hiperprodução e/ou diminuição da excreção de ácido úrico, levando à deposição de cristais de monourato de sódio nas articulações e tecidos moles. Tendo uma maior prevalência em indivíduos de sexo masculino A apresentação clínica da gota no idoso difere da população geral, o que pode tornar seudiagnóstico por vezes difícil. O presente estudo baseou-se em uma revisão de literatura que teve como objetivoverificar os efeitos da fisioterapia em indivíduos idosos portadores de gota. No idoso com gota a fisioterapia prevê adiminuição da dor, da inflamação, da rigidez articular; diminuição da coaptação articular e gradual diminuição daresistência tensil das estruturas conjuntivas peri-articulares; além da manutenção da amplitude de movimento e da propriocepção.Downloads
