ESTADO NUTRICIONAL E PATOLOGIAS EM IDOSOS USUÁRIOS DO SERVIÇO DE NUTRIÇÃO DE UMA UNIDADE BÁSICA

O envelhecimento está relacionado com alterações fisiológicas no organismo, aparecimento de doenças crônicas e mudança de peso corporal. Desta forma uma alimentação equilibrada ajuda a prevenir doenças e promover qualidade de vida. O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar o estado nutricional de idosos usuários do Serviço de Nutrição em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) de Santa Maria/RS, bem como verificar as patologias mais prevalentes. Estudo transversal, a partir de dados secundários com pacientes idosos, de ambos os sexos. A maioria dos idosos atendidos eram mulheres (94%) e com sobrepeso (55,6%). Dentre as principais patologias, a maior prevalência foi de pacientes com Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica, destes 80% encontravam-se com sobrepeso. Todos os idosos que apresentavam Diabetes Mellitus encontravam-se fora da eutrofia. O resultado do estudo confirma a necessidade do desenvolvimento de estratégias de prevenção e promoção, relacionado a nutrição na atenção básica de saúde.Downloads
