AVALIAÇÃO DA ATIVIDADE ANTIPROLIFERATIVA E CITOTÓXICA DO EXTRATO AQUOSO DE CONYZA BONARIENSIS (L.) CRONQUIST

A citotoxicidade significa causar efeito tóxico a nível celular, podendo ser por morte celular, alterações na permeabilidade da membrana e inibição enzimática. A ocorrência da apoptose e, consequente, diminuição da proliferação celular pode ser desencadeada por vários fatores. A Conyza bonariensis pertencente à família Asteraceae é uma planta nativa da América do Sul, conhecida principalmente como buva. Este trabalho tem por objetivo avaliar a atividade antiproliferativa e citotóxica do extrato aquoso de Conyza bonariensis (L.) pelo método de redução do brometo de 3-(4,5-dimetil tiazol-2-il)-2,5-difenil tetrazólio (MTT) em um produto com a coloração azul escuro (MTTformazan) pela enzima mitocondrial tetrazolium-succinato-desidrogenase. A buva apresentou atividade a antiproliferativa e citotóxica nas concentrações de 5 e 5000μg/mL, com a diminuição da proliferação celular de 25,70% e 37,04%, indicando seu potencial terapêutico para inibição do ciclo celular. As demais concentrações (25; 50; 100; 500 e 1000 μg/mL) não apresentaram diferença significativa com relação ao controle.Downloads
