PERCEPÇÕES DE ENFERMEIROS ACERCA DO CUIDADO PRESTADO PELA FAMILIA AO PACIENTE EM CUIDADO PALIATIVO

Com a incidência crescente de doenças crônico-degenerativastem-se tornado cada vez maior o número de pessoas fora de possibilidades terapêuticas, dependentes de familiares, em cuidados paliativos. O estudo objetiva analisar a percepção do enfermeiro, em relação ao cuidado prestado pela família ao paciente adulto hospitalizado, em cuidado paliativo. De abordagem qualitativa, descritiva com 14 enfermeiros de um hospital Porte IV, realizada nos meses de outubro e novembro de 2010. O instrumento utilizado foi por meio de entrevista contendo uma questão aberta. As Informações foram analisadas e categorizadas conforme preceito de Minayo.
O familiar é percebido como alguém que assiste o paciente de
maneira direta e indireta, auxilia no cuidado, exige da equipe, cuida como forma de resgatar “momentos perdidos”, preocupado com o controle da dor, dificultador na recuperação do paciente, não envolvido no cuidado e baixo grau de instrução. Faz-se necessário que o enfermeiro lance um olhar atento para a família, no sentido de acolhe-la e instrumentalizá-la para o cuidado adequado.
