Objective: to describe the clinical-epidemiological profile of patients with hepatitis C notified in Anápolis, Goiás from January 2012 to December 2018. Materials and methods: This is an epidemiological, observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study of a quantitative nature. Data from the hepatitis C (HCV) notification form registered at the Epidemiological Surveillance Department of the Municipal Health Secretariat of Anápolis, Goiás, were collected. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS®) program and significance level o value 5% (p <0.05) for all analyzes. Results: Assistance was offered to 239 patients between the years studied, ranging from 31 to 43 cases per year. Most cases were male (61.5%, p = 0.431) aged between 30 and 50 years (45.6%, p = 0.015) of brown color (64%, p = 0.029) and had 5th to 8th complete series (20.8%, p = 0.004). Genotype 1 was the most prevalent (67.5%, p = 0.644) along with the chronic / asymptomatic form (76.6%, p = 0.001). The source of infection was 23.0% of cases through sexual intercourse and 72.0% of notifications did not have this information (p = 0.019). Conclusion: In this study, the profile found for HCV patients was similar to those available in the literature. The importance of knowing the incidence of HCV is emphasized in order to understand its spread and, thus, to have subsidies for control measures in the fight against infection, in addition to the training to properly fill out the notification forms, since the omission of data directly interferes in the teaching and research, in addition to the quality of care.
