Reutilização e prática de uso de máscaras entre universitários

Resumo

O estudo teve como objetivo analisar a prática do uso de máscaras e os fatores associados entre estudantes universitários da Paraíba durante a pandemia da covid-19. Trata-se de um estudo do tipo transversal, analítico, desenvolvido em instituição de ensino público do estado da Paraíba com 404 estudantes universitários. Os dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário estruturado e utilizou-se a escala Face Mask Use Scale, versão para o Português do Brasil. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva, testes de normalidade, testes U de Mann-Whitney e Kruskal-Wallis. O escore geral da prática do uso de máscaras foi de 23,7 (Desvio padrão=4,9). A utilização de máscaras em ambientes de saúde obteve maior escore 9,2 (Desvio padrão=1,6). Renda mensal, diagnóstico de covid-19, isolamento e uso de drogas ilícitas foram fatores associados ao uso de máscaras. É visto que estudantes universitários possuem práticas deficientes tanto na reutilização de máscaras quanto no uso delas em ambientes públicos e domiciliares.
