Abstract

O presente artigo busca analisar os limites da liberdade de crença no Brasil por meio da ideia de justiça como equidade de John Rawls, bem como, de liberdade igual. Dessa forma, estabelece algumas considerações sobre a Teoria da Justiça de John Rawls. Discorre sobre as ideias de justiça como equidade e de liberdade igual. Com base nessas concepções, busca tratar dos limites da liberdade de consciência religiosa no Brasil, com o intuito de possibilitar a coexistência pacífica no que se refere à diversidade religiosa. O método de abordagem usado para a realização do trabalho foi o dialético. Como técnicas específicas, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas. Por meio deste estudo, foi possível perceber que utilizar as concepções de equidade e de liberdade igual podem servir de instrumento para possibilitar a convivência equitativa entre as diversas crenças existentes, sobretudo em um país multicultural como o Brasil.
